back in the days when things were cool
i used to live in this tiny apartment. it had a kitchen, and one other room which contained a chair, a couch, and bunkbeds. all my friends would come over and we’d all cram into my tiny little space and have sessions and talk and make noise. this was a real creepy sorta place, an old victorian that had been converted to a funeral home and later to a rooming house. weird things happened there...

i simply remember my favorite things, and then i don’t feel so bad.
waking up grumpy is a fleeting thing when my favorite little red dog, who is sleeping on the floor beside me, sees that i am awake, greets me with a thump thump of the tail on the ground, a yawn, a stretch, and then gets up and sticks her wet nose right in my sleepy eye socket.
